We take it way back with the octagonal bezel design of the original DW-5000C from 1983, but rendered in metal with stainless-steel case and bezel.

Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the bezel and the case for a shock-resistant structure with a full-metal exterior. The bezel — formed three-dimensionally in a time-intensive forging, cutting, and polishing process — is finished beautifully with a circular hairline treatment on the top surface and mirror polish on the slopes.

The indexes and inset dial rings, treated with a sophisticated vapour deposition finish, showcase refined detail, thanks to delicate moulding achieved with fine processing technology.

The band is made with soft, comfortable silicone, with a top surface protected by urethane film for enhanced abrasion resistance. The underside of the transparent urethane features a gunmetal vapour deposition finish, while the hairline-finished surface beautifully complements the full-metal case.
